Picea likiangensis var. purpurea is commonly known as Purple Cone Spruce. This long-lived broad evergreen conifer tree with horizontally spreading branches features highly ornamental violet-purple seed cones that contrast beautifully with its bright green needles. It is a hardy tree that can stand up to -30F without issue.
Picea purpurea thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Its undemanding adaptability to its location makes it a true favorite!
